Info
This course aims to prepare students for programming contests, specifically ACM ICPC and IEEEXtreme.
We will meet once a week throughout the semester. There will be a lecture component where overview of an algorithm is given, followed by some practice examples. Students without the pre-requisites will need to demonstrate that they have already learned the material elsewhere, or be willing to learn it as the course proceeds. Participants will be expected to participate in a programming related competition within one year of the course.
For some sessions the problemsets are hosted in a codeforces group. In order to be able to submit your solutions to these problems you must:
- Log in with your codeforces account
- Register yourself as a participant (not spectator) in that group
- For upcoming sessions, register yourself for the relevant contest
Tutors: Oliver-Matis Lill, Benson Muite, Yauhen Yakimenka
Location: Liivi 2 - 404
Time: Tuesday 18:00
For the intermediate group, in order to pass you have to solve every problem with the mark "HW" in the index. However since the lecturers code for these problems is freely accessible on the course page, it's more of an honor system than anything.
