Digitootedisaini lühiprojekt 2024/25 kevad

Description

This course offers students hands-on experience in digital product design, equipping them with a deeper understanding of the complexities involved and preparing them for real-world challenges. It also serves as an excellent introduction to LTAT.05.019 Digital Product Management Industry Project (DPMIP). Throughout the course, students engage with established well-known products, such as YouTube or Netflix, identifying opportunities for innovation and crafting solutions to address users' needs and pain points.

Schedule

Sessions are held biweekly on Fridays from 10:15 to 12:00 in Sandbox, room 3092.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this course, students will able to:

  1. Conduct market and user research
  2. Quickly turn a practical problem statement into an initial product vision
  3. Quickly turn this vision into an initial prototype
  4. Conduct user testing
  5. Present the prototype to potential customers
  6. Gain an initial understanding about the complexities and potential pitfalls of product design process

Credits: 3 ECTS

Assessment criteria

The course will be assessed on a team basis with the final project presentation serving as the only assessment item. For a passing grade the presentation will have to include the following:

  • Clear and convincing problem statement
  • Milestones reached during the project
  • Clear and convincing presentation of the final product
  • Lessons learned and ideas for improvement of the product as well as the development approach
