Course Info
Lectures
Online Lectures. Will become available according to the course internal scheduler.
Lab Sessions
Online lab sessions. Labs during the first two weeks will physically take place in Tartu Liivi 2-123. These labs are optional (not obligatory to visit) for a quick start. All lab related activities can be performed remotely.
Grading
You will get points from two major sources: fulfilling requirements for labs (30p in total) and practical examination (70p). Grading is performed automatically by the Test Server (available only with signed certificate, p12 file imported into your browser).
There is a possibility to make a personal assignment as an alternative to the standard course evaluation scheme. This is an independent contribution to the course infrastructure or materials (or both). Usually personal assignments require extremely good system administration skills and take more time than fulfilling standard evaluation requirements. In other words, it is a challenge for an experienced students. If you are an experienced system administrator and have some free time to dedicate for a challenging task feel free to contact your lab assistant.
Deadlines
You will have three deadlines for labs. Completion of the lab tasks before each deadline will give 10 points. Failing to finish lab tasks before the deadline means loosing possibility to earn 10 points. Failing the deadline does not mean that tasks can be left incomplete. In order to be allowed for the examination you need to complete all lab tasks before the last lab deadline. Exact dates for the deadlines and labs are published in Practicals section.
Exams
Examinations will take place in Tartu Liivi 2-123. Exact examination dates will be announced.
