Latest News/Announcements:
19-Jun-2013:
The re-take exam (recit) date, time and room have now been confirmed by the Dean's office: Friday, June 21, 10:15-11:45 (room 511). If you failed in the second exam and want to take the recit, please register TODAY. The structure of the retake exam will be the same as for exam 1 and exam 2.
18-Jun-2013:
The marks of the second exam, as well as the overall course grades for those of you who participated in the second exam on June 12 are now posted (see 'Roster of Marks' on course wiki). Unfortunately, one student failed. Thus, there will be offered a re-take exam (recit). The tentative date/time of the recit is Friday, June 21, 10:15-12:00 (to be confirmed soon / room to be announced soon). Please remember that you must register for the recit at least 1 day before the recit takes place.
28-May-2013:
The marks of the first exam, as well as the overall course grades for those of you who participated in the first exam on May 22 are now posted (see 'Roster of Marks' on course wiki). The exam went very well! Congrats and thanks for participating in the course.
18-May-2013:
The feedback on homework 4 is now available at the very end of the 'Lectures' section.
The 'Roster of Marks' has been updated accordingly (click link in side bar on the left).
08-May-2013:
You now find the experimental designs (anonymised) that you are supposed to review for Homework 2 - Part B on the course wiki (under 'Lectures' -> Lecture 17). I also posted the mapping of designs to reviewers, so you know which designs you are supposed to review.
Note: If you submitted Part A of Homework 4 as a pair, you must review two designs to get full marks. If you submitted Part A of Homework 4 as an individual student, you must review only one design. I will give more information on Part B of Homework 4 at the beginning of today's lecture.
22-Apr-2013:
Today: Industry Presentation by Artur Assor (Nortal): "Rebuilding development infrastructure in Nortal"
10-Apr-2013:
Thanks for doing a good job on the project. Ivo will now do the marking and send individual (group) feedback asap. In the meanwhile, you can find a new section 'Roster of Marks' under the 'Assessment' section, where you will find a table with the marks for all course elements, i.e., homework assignments, project, and exam. So far, you can find the marks for the first **three** homework assignments. You need to look up the column with your student id to find your marks. The first digit of the student id has been replaced by 'x'. The 'x' represents one of the following symbols: 'A', 'B', or ' ' (blank).
13-Mar-2013:
Remember that submission deadline for Homework 3 is on Thursday, Mar-14-2013 at 17:00 (sharp). Please submit by using the submission functionality on the course web-page. Only PDF file attachments will be accepted
11-Mar-2013:
The date for the first final exam was moved to Wednesday, May 22, so that students planning to graduate this summer will have their course grades in place. The second final exam date stays unchanged (Wednesday, June 12).
05-Mar-2013:
The 'project block' is approaching soon. An introduction to the project (25% of the course grade) will be given in the lecture on Monday, 18-Mar-2013. Thus, I urge all students enrolled in this course to attend this important lecture. In addition, the project must be done in groups of three students (in exceptional cases, groups with two or four students might be possible - but these exceptions must be acknowledged by Ivo Mägi). Thus, you might start thinking about with whom you will form a project group.
27-Feb-2013:
