Dashing
Besides portals, dashing also is a fairly fun mechanic that adds a lot of immersion to the game. We've implemented it as such that you "as a wizard", can dash a short distance on a short cooldown.
The vignetting of the players vision is a bit off and rough but it works. When you dash you can see a particle trail behind the player. Its hard to do visual debugging for a mechanic that happens behind you. So i used Debug.DrawRay() to show lines in the scene that show the movement of the player from one position to another.
