Tehisliku ja loomuliku mõistuse seminar 2026/27 sügis

  • Pealeht

2025/2026 Autumn Semester

Topic: Process philosophy, Whitehead's Process and Reality

Target audience: Master's and Doctoral students

Seminars: Thursdays (14:15-15:45)

Location: Delta (Narva mnt 18), room 2006

Seminar led by: Karl Kristjan Kaup (kaup.kristjan@gmail.com) NAIL

Content

We shall read Whitehead's Process and Reality, but due to it's complexity we shall primarily focus on easier secondary texts:

  • Donald Sherburne, A Key to Process and Reality,
  • C. Robert Mesle, Process-Relational Philosophy: An Introduction to Alfred North Whitehead

The seminar is in an inverted format where one/two student(s) hosts and organizes the discussion each week on a topic from Whitehead's Process and Reality or process philosophy in general. All participants will read the corresponding material for each seminar.

To Pass

Every week:

  • a) read the book chapters about to be discussed

  • c) attend the seminar and participate in the discussion
  • d) don't be late

1 free miss each on attending, being late and reading homework. If it's unavoidable or you had a strong reason let me know in advance or ASAP and we can find a way.
