Objectives
This course aims to give students practical skills in data modeling and data orchestration, as well as how to set up a data solution such as a data warehouse or a data lake. During the course, the students are allowed to work with state-of-the-art technologies in the field of data engineering.
After completing this course, the student can:
- Design data models using dimensional modeling practices;
- Organize and transform data to the desired form;
- Build automated data processing workflows for medium-size data;
- Understand and apply best practices for setting up data warehouses and data lakes;
- Describe the advantages and limitations of various data storage and processing technologies based on the given requirements;
- Apply principles of data governance and security.
