Further instructions:
Dear all,
Hopefully you are making great progress with your projects and are already having questions about the poster session and how to present the cool results. Hint - use big fonts, illustrations, graphics, visuals. Important: Do not forget the title, authors, affiliation, required acknowledgements (e.g. StudyITin.ee), references, ... Please add short link to your project sources when available.
Project presentations in the form of Poster Session will take place on Thursday, May 25th at 10 o'clock in room 405. See the excitement one year ago and pay attention to which posters are "attractive" and more easily readable: http://biit.cs.ut.ee/~vilo/Photos/2016_05_26_Data_Mining_Posters/ Also a video of the process from 2014:
You can gain more information by googling for examples of good scientific posters.
Here are some guidelines that will help you to print your posters on time:
- the size should be A0 or A1 (e.g. in Powerpoint set page size!)
- export the result to PDF file
- put “[DataMining2017]" into the subject of the email
- send it to meedia@ut.ee <meedia@ut.ee>
- and upload the PDF/ZIP also to courses.cs.ut.ee
Middle of the poster session week, Wednesday morning the latest, is the best time to submit your posters to get them ready by Thursday. You can pick them up here http://goo.gl/1lNE3 (Lossi 3-141a, Tartu), the door where it is written "Print on demand". Multimedia will invoice our Institute later - you do not need to pay for the course project poster printing.
Waiting to see your cool projects and posters soon!
