Tests

There will be two tests, in the following dates:

Test 1: 01st April.

The Test 1 is on 1st April, room 2017, 14:15.

The deadline for HW4 is Monday (31.03.2015) instead of Tuesday. Before the test, you have to get pass from HW1-HW3 and submit HW4 (you will receive a feedback about hw3 early this week). If you receive "fail" for the homework or feedback asking to send it again, do it before the Test!

The test will combine coding and theoretical parts from topics covered in Lectures and Homeworks (1 to 4). It is an open-book test, you can freely use your lecture materials, homework and internet, but use of any generative AI (chatGPT alike) is strictly forbidden. To avoid external plugin usages, we will ask you to write the test on university computers in Visual Studio Code.

If you never tried it before, we recommend you to try it with your hw4, together with setting up environment (you would need numpy and matplotlib). We will make a short tutorial on university computer and send it to you before the test. You can also come a bit earlier for the test ~14:00 and several TAs will be there to help setting things up. Feel free to ask questions during your next practice session if you have any troubles.

If you can't come on test date or if you are unhappy with the grade you receive, or if you didn't submit your homeworks on time, there will be resit date for Test 1.

Reach us if you have any questions-worries!

P.S. Preparation tips! Just go through your homeworks before the test, if you understood the tasks, there is nothing to worry about.

Test 2: 29th April.

Test 2 will happen on 29th April, room 2017, 14:15 (lecture time).

The test will have a theoretical part (convolutional neural networks) as well as coding part. Coding part is going to be about running NN in Pytorch. You can use Google Colub, because it is convenient to use GPU for quicker training of the model. You can use either auditorium computer or your personal laptop.

You are allowed to use the internet and your Homework solutions during the test but use of any generative AI (chatGPT alike) is strictly forbidden.

Solutions for this task can not be submitted at the moment.
