Process for the presenter
- Pick an article from the provided list of articles (the list is in Moodle and you need to log in with you UT account)
- Read the article once and come up with 1-2 general non-factual questions about the topic of the paper that the other audience can think about before the seminar. The questions have to be generic enough so that one can think about them without reading the article.
- Pre-task: Post the questions to the others 5 days before your presentation (10p) - send to via e-mail to the instructor: julius.laak@gmail.com
- Prepare a 30 minute slide presentation. Max 45 minutes. (max 52p)
- Focus on the main scientific contributions and main gist instead of elaborating over methods and too detailed descriptions
- Bring out the value of the article
- Bring out issues with the article
- Finish with an idea that starts the discussion panel
- Keep in mind the evaluation criteria for the presentation!
- Lead the discussion and questions panel ~30min
Process for the audience
- Think about the questions provided by the presenter a few days before the seminar without reading the article (to be able to earn points from the discussion and facilitate your learning).
- Attend the seminar (1p)
- Turn on your camera for the entirety of the seminar.
- Register your attendance in Moodle. Seminar attendance registration is only available during the seminar.
- After the presentation, participate in the discussion panel. A meaningful contribution to the discussion gives you (1p)
- After the seminar, give feedback to the presenter via google forms link - link in Moodle under the session (1p)
