Assessment

Criteria for passing the course (fail/pass)

a) Students must attend a minimum of 4 out of 5 classes. In case of any exceptional situation such as sickness, family circumstances or others, the student must bring sufficient evidence (e.g., a medical certificate) explaining that exceptional circumstance.

b) Students must complete the assignment that will be described in detail in class:

  • The assignment will consist of creating an R Markdown document that must run some of the R scripts given in class. Each student must select a dataset (different from the one given in class) from the Promise repository or other source of software engineering data. The student will have to analyse the dataset and extract some conclusions about the data and about the model proposed. The basic model required is the linear regression, but the student is free to add additional predictive models.
  • The studens will have to start working on the assignment on Friday's class (Feb 19th). The deadline for submission of the assignment is 11 pm, Sunday, 7th of March, (no extension allowed).
