Yakindu Licenses
We have a license server that you can use if you are within the university network. This means you have to use Eduroam at school (and optionally, VPN from home). These things are useful to set up anyway because you can access all our library resources from within our network. Note that there are many networks called "eduroam" that you can log into with your university credentials, but they are not all within the university network! In particular, the eduroam wifi in our dormitories seem to be outside the university network and from there you need VPN.
If you start Yakindu with a connection to Eduroam, you can then borrow a license to use offline.
Within our network, you can access the license server by going to Preferences and Yakindu Licenses > License Server. There you should enter address yakindu.cs.ut.ee
and port 6200
.
You will get some warning about borrowed licenses being returned. Just press OK. If you now restart Yakindu and watch the licenses, you should have a valid "Floating (borrowable)" license.
Now, if you start Yakindu within our network, the license is valid. If you want to use it offline (outside the university network), you have to go to the Yakindu Licenses in the preferences and press "borrow". You have to return it within 3 days, so it's best to return and borrow again whenever you are at school, or set up VPN so that you can just use it at home without having to borrow.
