Meet the teams
After warm-up sessions and seminars on Monday, 25 ideas were pitched on Tuesday ranging from genome tracker services to mobile applications for farmers. Altogether 10 teams were formed after that. Here they are:
- Maidan Team - Cardgame based on real events. Team: Max, Geli, Kalev, Uku, Victor.
- Loometurg (Facebook page, Twitter) - Loometurg.ee is a web platform where Estonian artists/designers etc can showcase their works and people in need for small-scale creative services can find them. Team: Ville, Mai-Liis, Kert, Kristian, Karl, Kadi, Meri-Kris
- Promise Me (Facebook page, Twitter) - Promise Me is dedicated to helping you stick to your goals. You make a promise (which could be anything, trying to quit junk food, smoking, etc.) and choose to pledge an amount against it. If you break your promise, the amount gets donated to a charity of your choice. Team: Maanus, Anu, Jake, Alireza, Lukman, Janno
- SlideWiper (Facebook page) - SlideWiper is a software that enables to make presentations without any physical controller. It means that presenter controls the slides with body gestures and voice commands. Team: Oliver Stimmer, Rasmus Kuusmann, Ding Wei, Recai Adar
- Dloggr (Facebook page) - Dlogger wants to change the way you think of a blog and offer completely different and more personal experience without making you do any more than you do. A daily blog, with a simple post per day, connecting every bit of your online social behaviour. - CropHealer - Mobile application for farmers which helps to detect problems with plants and offer solutions for it - certain product or products. Team: Jaanika Mirka, Indrek Ilves, Karl-Oskar Masing, Toms Andersons, Gatis Steinbergs, Sirli Ruus, Mihkel Vunk, Roman Normann
- Spot My Meal (Facebook page) - A web service that will generate a meal plan and a shopping list for you according to your physical condition, fitness goal and budget - also location. Team: Atilio Rrenja, Abel Armas, Silvia Isak, Marge Mölder, Koit Summatavet
- Sportnection - The aim of the project is to create a platform that would directly connect athletes with sports teams like usual online CV platforms do. Currently there is no common system for this service and the existing tools are either expensive or inefficient. Team: Dairis Zariņš, Kristers Kalniņš, Liis Kurm, Jaagup Viil, Erik Berendsen, Vootele Rõtov
- Genome Tracker (Facebook page, Twitter)- Project focuses on solving following problems: 1. Gather data about existing markers and their related healthrisks from existing databases 2. Enable research groups to upload research results to our system for better reuse 3. Organize this data to create better conditions for developing statistical models that calculate health risks 4. Provide an ability for individuals to get feedback based on their genotype. - Sensey (Facebook) - Sensey is open framework that makes it easier to create any kind of software that uses wireless sensor networks. Let it be mobile thermostat, curtain closer, light switch, universal remote or anything else that can be controled by sending signal. You don't have to pay hundreads of dollars for smart home systems when you can build it yourself. Team: Edgars Ermansons, Heigo Heinleht, Siim Talvik, Yauhen Yakimenka, Jiajun
