This seminar course is exclusively meant for PhD students who have at least one supervisor from the Chair of Software Engineering and Information Systems.
Objectives
This seminar covers advanced topics in the field of software systems and software-intensive systems, both from a management and from an engineering perspectives. Students will engage in active learning by reading academic and industry papers on various topics in the field, presenting these papers to the class, and participating in focused discussions. On successful completion of this course, students should be able to:
- Collect, analyze and present information about advanced topics in the field of information systems in a structured manner.
- Formulate informed observations and comments about key issues and approaches in the field of information systems.

Requirements to be met for final assessment
- Students will be assessed based on at least two presentations to be given during the seminar and based on their attendance to the seminars and participation in the class discussions.
