Fault-Tolerant Quantum Computing
This 6 ECTS "book course" continues the studies in stabilizer theory, quantum error correcting codes and fault-tolerant quantum computing from the previous semester.
Prerequisites
Participants are expected to have a solid understanding of stabilizer theory and Gottesman-Knill theory, along with the mechanisms of the basic codes, including the rotated-qubits surface code (i.e., single-qubit Clifford gates, merge and split, rotation etc).
Prerequisites will be checked in an oral exam. Please contact the instructor.
Meetings
- Tue 14-16, starting from Feb 13.
- Room will be announced
Credit Points
Requirement for obtaining the 6 credit points are:
- Participation in the meetings
- Reading all discussed papers
- Presenting the content of one paper
