Final Demo and Project Summary
Project Summary
The team has gone through the project lifecycle and evaluated the progress. You have presented your thoughts on what should have been done differently, what decision should have been made at which stages, what went well, what kind of changes were made and what triggered those changes. There is a customer's opinion present about what are his/her plans with the project after the course finishes. Project summary has to be present in the course Wiki in the morning of the Demo Day.
In order to benefit from the deliverable, take time to analyse the project among the whole team, it will be a good exercise for you to look back to the last three months and try to understand what you have learnt along the way.
Here you can find a possible structure of the Project Summary, with some useful guidelines. You are expected to cover the content of this document, however you may follow your own structure.
Final Demo
During your final demo presentation, you should:
- Explain the purpose of the solution: what the problem is, what your solution is and who the end-user is going to be. You can emphasize the value of your product by comparing it with existing or other established products.
- Demonstrate the usage of the working application (preferably live, but a pre-recorded video is allowed as a "backup" option or when a live demo is impractical)
- Demonstrate the use case(s) which represent some part(s) of the core functionality in action. Refer to the success scenario of a use case, the alternative scenarios, the acceptance tests, and connect them with your demo.
- Manage to pull off an engaging demo. Remember - the key point is to tell a story instead of demonstrating the functionality randomly.
Besides the content of the presentation, please pay attention to the following:
- Demos take place on Zoom. You will find the exact schedule of the demos and the zoom link here. Choose a free time slot and fill in your team’s name accordingly.
- The total time of a demo session is 12 minutes. You have maximum 7 minutes for your presentation (a few slides) and for running the demo per se. The remaining 5 minutes are meant for questions and comments.
- Audience: course coordinator, mentor(s), client (please provide the zoom link and your session time to your client), other teams (optional).
- Please share your screen on Zoom for the demo.
