Dates and locations
The course will be held entirely online and all course material and assignments will be distributed via Moodle.
Lectures: The first lecture will be streamed live via Zoom on Thursday, September 10 starting at 14:15. The link will be announced here in Moodle. A recording of the lecture will be available soon afterwards. For the remainder of the course we will provide shorter instructional videos about methods and concepts you will use during the course every second Thursday on Moodle.
Workshops: All workshops will be streamed live via Zoom. They will take place every second Friday starting on September 25 at 16:15. Zoom links will be available in Moodle. During the workshops we will announce upcoming assignments, provide feedback for previous assignments and you will have the opportunity to ask questions. All workshops will be recorded and will be available in Moodle afterwards.
Consultation sessions: Individual consultation sessions will be available for each team after the submission of first presentation video (between 08.10. and 22.10.) and before the submission of the final presentation video (between 19.11. and 03.12.).
We will also open a discussion forum in Moodle each week for you to ask questions and discuss lecture content and assignments. For further questions you can also send Maria or me a private message or email.
Assignments and grading
The grading will be based on the following items:
- Individual assignments during the first 4 weeks (2 sessions, 20 points)
- Team project (80 points)
- Continuous reports (50 points)
- Introductory presentation video (10 points)
- Final presentation video (20 points)
The resulting score (out of 100) will be mapped to the following grades:
- A: 100 – 91
- B: 90 – 81
- C: 80 – 71
- D: 70 – 61
- E: 60 – 51
- F: 50 – 0
A grade higher than F (more than 50 points), participation in both project presentations and the submission of the final report are required to pass the course. For assignments that are handed in after the presented deadline 50% of the points will be deducted per day. There is no option for a retake examination nor to submit project deliverables at a later date.
During the first lecture we will explain all organizational aspects of the course in detail. The course will be held in English.
