Presentations
Presentation format
The main idea of the presentation is to give an overview of the paper you chose. We have three presentations per seminar so it leaves roughly 30 minutes for one paper. This will also include questions and discussion (you don't have to prepare a 30 min presentation).
The presentation should definitely touch on the following points:
- What is the motivation of the paper?
- What is the novelty of the paper? What does it aim to improve?
- Explain the architecture of the model / Explain the methodology.
- What are the results?
- What questions did you have about the paper and what was confusing?
- Your opinion on the paper.
It is totally okay if you don't understand 100% of the paper you present.
A few more pointers for the presentation:
- Remember your audience! Try to explain things so it would be understandable to other students who didn't read the paper. It is better to make it more simple rather than too complicated.
- Make the presentation engaging! Show us pictures and figures from the paper and try to build your presentation around these.
