- Send the email to: sysadunitartu@gmail.com with the following information: which exam date have you chosen and your student ID (i.e. bXXXXX)
Send the email from the same account you have created ETAIS account with.

Exam Topics and Grading
The exam will consist of 5 topics, each of them will have several Nagios checks about them.
The topics are:
- DNS
- Web
- TLS
- Docker/DevOps
Each topic you successfully complete during the exam will upgrade your grade by one point.
For example, if you successfully complete DNS topic, you will earn grade E.
If you successfully complete Web, you will get D.
If you complete Mail, you will earn C.
After TLS you get B.
Finally completing Docker/DevOps you will get you A.
To complete each topic, the previous topic has to be completed, so your focus on learning the topics in order should be clear.
You will have hard time trying to earn E while only trying to complete the last topic, since it is built upon on all of the previous topics.
Just to be clear, since every topic has several checks in them, you can earn E by clearing only one DNS check. After doing the absolute minimum, each topic has to be completed in order to earn the next grade.
And it is possible to earn F, if you do not clear any checks.
Exam environment and Exercises
Exam will be conducted in ETAIS environment virtually (Physical presence in the class room is prohibited).
At the beginning of the exam you will log into ETAIS and you will have to setup new VM from a predefined exam image. Minor details regarding this procedure will be conveyed to you in Slack at a later date.
The exam consists of a broken VM that you have to fix. Broken in a sense, that services won't work or produce desired output. You will be given access to Nagios exam variation, where you will be able to track your exam progress in near real-time.
Intentional mistakes in the VM what to expect include wrong permissions, shut down services, services not starting, missing configuration, wrong configuration, etc.
You don't have to deal with typos 127.0.0.1 that could be written as 127.O.O.1.
All of the intentional mistakes will be made based on the course labs, everything you have to fix you have already fixed once if you have gotten to the exam. No suprises in that sense.
We will also proived a Zoom link which you have to join for the duration of the exam.
Do's and Don'ts
During the exam you are allowed:
- to use your own VM that you have worked on during the course.
- to use materials from the Internet.
- to use scripts that you have written yourselves. If you use scripts, you have to share them with the TAs.

- to communicate with other students or people in general during the exam (except TAs).
We will be monitoring everything. If foul play is discovered, it will be dealt with swiftly.
PS! If during the exam nagios shows, that service is not operational, but you are able to prove to us, that it is actually working as intended, then we will give you the earned points.
PPS! Eliminating liabilities is done in an agreement with the TAs. YOU have to contact us!
