Assessment methods and criteria

  1. Report: Interim report and individual reflection (instructions in Moodle)
  2. Project: The final grade is established based on the performance in the assigned project, regular written reports, presentations(pitching), participation in the workshops, and the final learning reflection report.
    Individual grades may be adjusted if a student fails to contribute sufficiently to the group project.
    Participation in seminars at least 60% + mentor feedback and business ideas competition pre-selection are required.
    Formation of final marks: A 91 - 100%; B 81 - 90%; C 71 - 80%; D 61 - 70%., E 51 - 60%

Requirements to be met for the final assessment

Students will meet for seminars and achieve the following milestones:

  1. Define an initial "value proposition" of a software product or service
  2. Develop a prototype of the envisioned product/service
  3. Provide evidence that the initial prototype has been validated with prospective customers and that customer feedback has been documented and taken into account
  4. Define a business plan for the product

Each milestone will be given a grade by the seminar coordinator based on the milestone's deliverables and an oral presentation. The points accumulated from the milestones will add up to a score between 0 and 100. This score will be translated into a grade between A and F using the standard university scale. To pass the course, the student must score at least 51 points.

Students will meet for workshops every week and achieve the following milestones:

  1. Define an initial "value proposition" of a software product or service.
  2. Develop a Minimum Viable Product (MVP)/software prototype for the envisioned product/service.
  3. Provide evidence that the initial prototype has been validated with prospective customers and that customer feedback has been documented and taken into account.
  4. Define a validated business model for the product/service.

Reflections and milestones will be given points. The points accumulated from the milestones will add up to a score between 0 and 100. This score will be translated into a grade between A and F using the standard university scale. To pass the course, the student must score at least 51 points.
