The seminar topics cover a broad set of themes on distributed systems (like High-Performance Computing, [Automatic] Parallelization, GPGPU, Peer-to-Peer systems, (Grid and Cloud) Computing, parallel algorithms, parallel programming languages, geographic information systems and intelligent transportation systems, autonomous driving. In general, everything connected with distributed systems.

  • Net Applications and Protocols (Artjom Lind)
  • Applied Computer Vision (Artjom Lind)
  • Parallel Machine learning algorithms (Artjom Lind, Amnir Hadachi)
  • Geographic information systems (GIS) and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) (Amnir Hadachi)
  • GPGPU (Mohammad Anagreh)
  • Autonomous driving (Naveed Muhammad)

Students can develop a theme of their own related to Distribute Systems or choose a topic from the List of possible topics.

Deliverables:

  • Written results report LaTeX IEEE report format from CTAN or the IEEE website.
  • Research (has to be provided one week after topic selection, how to submit the report is declared by supervisor)
  • Weekly report to supervisor (how to submit the report is declared by supervisor)
  • Research results: The code in our Git repository
  • Research results: The collected related list on our web page
  • Research results: The report LaTeX sources in our Git
  • Intermediate presentations / Demo (in the middle of the term)
  • Peer-review of the report drafts between the seminar members
  • Final peer-review
  • Final presentation / demo
