This homework refers to the Repair event log that we have used as an example in the practice sessions. Based on this log, answer the following questions.

  1. Which activity has the longest average processing time (the activity processing bottleneck)? To what extent the occurrence of this activity contributes to the median and average cycle time of the process?
  2. Which transition between activities has the longest average waiting time (the waiting bottleneck)? To what extent this transition contributes to the median and average cycle time of the process?
  3. Which are the three resources with the highest workload? To what extent the involvement of these resources in a case affects the cycle time?
  4. What is/are the rework loop(s) in this process? To what extent the presence of these rework bottleneck(s) contribute to the cycle time of the process?
