Redniwer: the Unwinding

Redniwer: The Unwinding is a 3D first-person puzzle game that makes the player go through many test chambers, which all contain different puzzles that revolve around time manipulation. You as a player must put your logical and temporal thinking to the test, as you try to solve difficult scenarios by using your ability to rewind certain objects in time. As the game progresses, the puzzles become increasingly difficult and many new puzzle elements are introduced, offering new kinds of challenges and making sure the game always stays interesting.

  • Basic player control: walking, jumping, picking up and moving items
  • Functionality for rewinding objects
  • Player can use the Rewindatron to shoot objects to rewind them
  • Main object prefabs for levels: doors, pressure plates, boxes, blocks, rooms for starting and ending a level
  • 3 basic levels

  • Improved Rewindatron physics, collision detection
  • New functioning objects: buttons, pipes that dispatch boxes, fans that push/pull boxes
  • Polished & improved first 3 levels
  • New tutorial level with helpful messages
  • Audio system & sounds
  • Main menu and in-game menu with level loading, settings
  • Quality Of Life improvements (cross-hair, player preferences)

  • Switch to dynamic lighting
  • Improved Audiosystem
  • Added sounds for every important interaction and more
  • Added new animations for boxes, Signal doors, the Rewindatron, Fans, Lamps
  • Added trails for bullets for better visibility
  • Added trails for rewindable objects
  • Redesigned the message system for giving tips
  • Changed the game's name from "Untitled puzzle game" to "Redniwer: the Unwinding"
