Abstract classes. Interfaces.

Objectives:

When you finish this module, you will

  • give explanation to the terms: abstract class, interface;
  • explain the similarities and differences among concrete classes, abstract classes, and interfaces;
  • design and use abstract classes;
  • specify common behavior for objects using interfaces;
  • create interfaces and classes that implement interfaces;
  • use the Java's build-in Comparable interface;
  • write programs that are easily extensible and modifiable by applying polymorphism in program design.
