Homework 3 (3 points)

- The answer to task 1 should be submitted in PDF, Word, Excel or OpenOffice format. The to-be process model of task 2 should also be submitted in a PDF file, and additionally if you did it using Signavio, please share your process model with me.
This homework refers to the Disability Insurance Claims Handling process at InsureIT that you modeled in homework 1 and analyzed in homework 2.
Tasks:
- Propose a set of changes to the "as is" claims handling process in order to address the most important issues of the process (the top 2 or 3 issues). Each change you propose should include a brief description of the change (what part of the process is being changed and how it is being changed) and a justification of the change (why do you believe this change would address this issue). In the justification of the change, you may refer to your analysis you did in homework 2, as well as the re-design principles of lecture 7 and/or the redesign heuristics introduced in Lecture 8.
- Write a "to-be" process model after applying the changes you proposed above. When designing the to-be process model, you may use the "as is" process model you designed for Homework 1 as a starting point, or you may use the sample solution of Homework 1 posted in Piazza.
