Bare & Abandoned is a third-person strategy MMORPG survival shooter where bunch of people are competing with each other on the way to becoming a true conqueror by choosing their own way of skill progressions along with showing their creativity in weapon making and analytical abilities smartly building various constructions to outsmart other players and be the last one to stay alive.
As you might already recognised there is only one real goal - to become the only one to stay alive, eliminating all that moves and preventing you from that. The game starts slowly with gaining resources, weapons and skills progressively increasing gameplay speed as the area bounds start to narrow forcing players to meet each other till someone achieving the goal. Train skills, craft weapons, build constructions, search for loot and you might be the one.
Milestone 1
For the first Milestone we have accomplished:
- Simple map
Made a simple map with trees, kinda looking mountains as a boundaries. - Wall of Death
Wall of death is a game mechanic object, which force players to move to each other by narrowing itself after some period of time, if player is outside of a death wall zone, then player is being damaged until he's dead. - Simple character
We took one premade player character from the unity's asset store and added our needed functions to it and removed functions that we didn't need. - Gathering function
Player has ability to gather resources by choping trees/picking ores and etc, but for now we've implemented only trees gathering one. - Game loop
Game loop is pretty simple, players gather resources, train skills, craft items, kill other people. As we don't have multiplayer feature implemented yet it's a single player right now and game restarts as the player dies or wins. - Win/Lose contitions
Win condition is to be last to stay alive (other players are dead), but again as we don't have yet multiplayer feature it's existing only for test purposes. Loss condition is a death, pretty simple.

Milestone 3
Peer Review
Suggestions:
- Hitting the enemy is cool, but when it comes to walking, I think that the sword should be either attached to one of the arms or since it is a double-handed sword, to the back of the character.
- A minor detail, but I tried different buttons on my keyboard and found out that you could also move using arrow keys, but you can't jump with uparrow. So either make all arrow keys work or take them out of usage entirely.
- The main menu should perhaps contain a guide for the buttons, because I had to try them all myself to know which does what.
- From the level screen there should be a button, with which you could go back to the main menu.
- Perhaps the health in the health bar should be a bit more brighter coloured, I had to spend some time looking at the health bar to distinguish how much health I had lost. Could be just my eyes. :)
- The signs could say instructions on what to do or you could have a story, which is divided into the signs in the level.
- When I reached the ice part and tried to go under the blocks, then I had a bug and couldn't jump any more.
- I didn't quite get, how the skills work, so maybe have a tutorial on that. The skill tree was all over the place as well.
- The sword enemies were really easy to get past (just jump over them and run) so there was no point to even fight them.
- Music is beautiful and I like the sounds as well. However what disturbed me was that you could hear enemies when they weren't even close to you.
All in all the game scales beautifully into different resolutions. The goal is simple and doesn't require too much time to understand, therefore it was easier to get into the game. I would advise sticking to simplicity and removing the skill tree for now. Just focus more on the details like making the boss battle a bit harder and adjusting the smaller enemy characters. When that is done, then the skill tree is a really cool idea.
Final Milestone
Game Still in Alpha
Current Release: Lastest Build This build has all the new inventory, UI-s, crafting system, character system etc but the old building and gathering is not working there yet and is turned off at the moment.
What we have added:
We didn't have that much time in the end as we expected, so the game still needs to be improved a lot. Currently the game is still in Alpha.
- New and working crafting system.
- New Inventory system.
- New Character / armor system.
- Skills Tab and skills system.
- All the UI-s have new design.

Problems:
Since the game is still in alpha, we don't really have a point to the game yet. Its really like Minecraft was in alpha, all you could do is basicly craft, gather and build.
So far you could build something with barricades, gather resources, level up and just try to survive. In future we still need to implement multiplayer what really gives our game the main point. We also have ideas for some quests and more advanced building.
