Controls
- E - Open/Close the inventory screen.
- WASD / Arrow Keys - Move around.
- Left Click - Use tool in hand / interact with interactable object (e.g. plant seeds).
- Right Click - Use item (e.g. eat a plant).
Known issues
- It is possible to place a new farmtile on top of an old one, making the previously planted plant unharvestable. This will be fixed with the new AreaManager.
- Game still captures user input, when typing into the developer console, making its usage uncomfortable.
- Depending on screen resolution, the pause menu button texts are too small. This will be fixed, when the UI sprites are done and fonts are chosen.
Milestone 3
Peer review for Fort Master game
- I would like the item pick to be in the middle of the screen and not on bottom.
- Items to choose from could have pictures.
- It would be nicer to have a bigger buttons on the menu view.
- I would suggest distance limit to buildable objects so you can’t build too far from the base.
- Pause menu view to pause a game.
- Blocks not to be entirely connected, like if the wall collapses sideways it won’t have the same structure as it was standing up.
- Back button in menu views for better understanding, where you currently are.
- Dragging items from the bottom of the screen one-by-one gets tiring, should give them hotkeys and maybe make them selectable, so you can place more than one.
- Games like these usually have a button to skip the delay before the next wave, at some points that waiting can be just a waste of time, if the player is ready with their base.
