In order to make Carbide work:

In Carbide go to
Window -> Preferences,
there select item
C/C++ -> Managed Build -> Environment
and add a new user-defined environment variable:

  • Name: PATH
  • Value:
    C:\Program Files\Nokia\Carbide.c++ Express v1.1\plugins\com.symbian.cdt.sdk_1.1.0.5\scripts\;C:\Symbian\8.1a\S60_2nd_FP3\epoc32\tools;C:\Symbian\8.1a\S60_2nd_FP3\epoc32\gcc\bin;c:\Program Files\Nokia\Carbide.c++ Express v1.1\plugins\com.nokia.carbide.cpp.support_1.1.0.5\Symbian_Tools\Command_Line_Tools;C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symbian\Tools;C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem;C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools\;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_07\bin;C:\Perl\bin;
